Keith Kilner exemplifies leadership in German club and beyond
Although Keith Kilner (10) has only recently become a part of German Club, he has become an exemplary member.
German club adviser and Foreign Language Dept. member Aaron Thompson said Kilner sets a prime example and is very responsible.
“Keith sets standards and is always ready to learn. He is very honest and trustworthy. You can tell he takes responsibility,” Thompson said.
Kilner originally joined German Club because he enjoyed his German class.
“After the fun I was having in German class I decided to join the club. I like the environment. It’s not a very strict club. Whenever I go, it feels relaxing, almost like I’m at my own home,” Kilner said.
Kilner participates in Science Club, band and Speech and Debate in addition to German Club.
Katie Mount (12), who has mentored Kilner in Speech and Debate, is grateful to have him in her category, Congressional Debate.
Mount mentioned he is a driven pupil who is very genuine.
“I think Keith is level-headed, sincere, motivated, and an all around good person. He’s definitely a positive force. I’m glad to have him,” Mount said.
When not engaged in extracurriculars, Kilner enjoys listening to music, spending time with his cats, looking at the stars with telescope and tinkering with his PC.
