Seniors win scholarship
Seniors Jessica Ezeji and Aaron Cochran were the recipients of the Wooster All-Sports Booster Scholarship Award in which they each won $1000. They are the first to win the award this year. Ron Osiecki, the vice president of the All-Sports Booster Club, stated that applicants need to have a minimum GPA of 3.5 or greater, and are selected by board members of the Booster Club based on their academic and athletic successes. Applicants also needed to complete an essay on why WHS sports were important to them. Ezeji said she hopes to be an inspiration to young WHS athletes, and Cochran said he enjoyed leading the boys’ swimming team as the team captain. Both Ezeji and Cochran will attend Ohio State University for the 2016-2017 school year.
