Wooster Robotics teams compete at first Wooster Robotics HS VEX Qualifier
Five WHS Robotics teams competed at the first Wooster Robotics HS VEX Qualifier on Dec. 1.
According to Jacob Melrose, the team’s adviser, there were 29 teams and nine schools that competed in the WHS gymnasium on Saturday.
The Wooster teams all advanced to the playoff rounds and placed in the following order: Team Blonde Boiz, Samuel Carroll, Hayden Franck, Orin Selby and Tyler Strand-Fox earned third place and qualified to state with their skill score; Team Law A-Ballin’ Citizens, Cameron Balas, Adam Frank and Luke Frantz, and Team General Disappointment, Ben Cornelius, Riley Fearon, Tyler Keating and Christina Sayre, tied for fourth place and Team Prestige Worldwide, Andrew Frantz, Alex Markul, Patrick Miller-Frederick, John Pleban and Bryceton Wilson, and Team Rawr Woo, Cassidy Burke, Ashlee Hummel, Jeffrey Manson, Lauren Segura and Donnovin Short, earned fifth place.
